DR. 

NICHOLAS RITTER

Nick is an Osteopath local to the Redlands and has just recently opened up his doors in a new location in Cleveland. Though he lives locally, Nick hails from New Zealand, where his passion for osteopathy started and he now has 10 years of experience in the industry.

Nick is passionate about Osteopathy and frequently undertakes educational courses to keep him abreast of the latest research and developments. He recently earned his dry needling certificate and has found it to be an invaluable tool to his osteopathic practice.

Besides osteopathy, Nick has a lifelong passion for the martial arts and boxing. He has trained in many different forms of combative techniques, but currently focuses on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. This experience brings a specific knowledge of the body mechanics involved in these combative sport, which can be useful in treating athletes from that arena.

The foundation of Osteopathic understanding is laid down in a general science Bachelor programme that provides a scientific understanding of the structure and function of the human body, with an approach to study the human body from a holistic perspective. The course structure includes the study of scientific disciplines including biology, chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, human anatomy and physiology, pathobiology and genetics, as well as data analysis.

During his Masters Degree Nick not only gained the skills to become a safe and competent osteopathic practitioner, he also wrote his research thesis in a special area of interest for him - lower back pain.
